White Negroni

1.5 oz Gin
1.5 oz Lillet Blanc
1/2 oz Suze
Garnish: Lemon Twist

Combine all ingredients in an ice-filled mixing glass. Stir for 20 seconds until very cold. Strain into an old fashioned glass (with one large ice cube) and garnish with a lemon twist.


There are many riffs of the Negroni, and this one plays off the bitterness from Suze, a French aperitif. It’s a refreshing twist on the original. If you find yourself unsure of veering off the classic recipe, I have three words for you: live a little. And thank yourself later.
